Production process

FROM COFFEE SEED TO COFFEE CUP

1. PLANTING
Every rainy season, Minh Tien routinely experiments to grow new varieties of coffee.

The seed will be cultivated and nurtured on rich soil, bathing in sunlight and water daily to a precise amount.
2. HARVESTING THE CHERRIES
From the magnificent sierra of white flowers, each year shows the coffee tree as young green pods that grow gradually, embracing warmth from the sun until the cherries become crimson in the last few months of the year.
3. PROCESSING THE CHERRIES
The outer layer of coffee skin will be rubbed and greased thoroughly. From there, the process will remove the outer and inner skin, revealing the lush and smooth green of the coffee bean inside.
4. DRYING THE BEANS
The fresh, juicy coffee beans will be bathed under the sun in order to reduce water content. Minh Tien utilizes racking and drying methods in the production process to ensure the water content would satisfy the standard level for global export, fully preserving the premium flavor and taste until reaching the customer hands.
5. CLASSIFICATION
Coffee beans will be put into a special machinery to filter and classify each bean base on size to ensure consistent quality.

Defective beans will be manually removed by skillful workers, being handled gently as soon as their character.
6. EXPORTING THE BEANS
A coffee bean is actually a seed. When dried, roasted and grinded, it will be used to brew coffee. However, there are seeds for planting and growing a coffee tree.

Coffee seeds are generally plants in large beds in shaded nurseries. The seedlings will be watered frequently and shaded from bright sunlight until they are matured enough to be permanently planted. Planting usually happens during the rainy season, so then the soil remains moist while the roots become firmly established.
7. ROASTING THE COFFEE
From green coffee beans, under the heat of weather and the warmth of labor, the beans gradually turn into a characteristic brown color. Depending on one’s preference, coffee beans will be roasted at different temperatures and methods, to bloom its unique characteristics to the fullest.
